WHO WE ARE
Press Foward is an independent initiative whose mission is to change culture in the news and media industry. We aspire to create safe, civil and diverse workplaces for women and men to do their best work in journalism. We believe every voice in the newsroom matters - from the intern to the anchor - and journalists should strive for industry-wide change reflective of ethical work standards. Now is the time for lasting culture change in the media. By working together, we can Press Forward.
WHAT WE DO
We seek to empower the voices who inform the American population through education, research, training and dialogue. We tackle issues of sexual harassment, diversity, inclusion, equality, and power imbalances in order to identify healthy mechanisms to right these wrongs. Our programs and resources are designed to reach a broad spectrum of media professionals - from industry leadership to the next generation of journalists to those in power at the top of the industry, and everyone in between.
